Graphic design has always been in Blair’s blood — even as a child, she would collage with Vanity Fair magazines, spend hours tooling with design programs on the computer, and even draft floor plans to her dream home (you know, as the child of an architect and interior designer does.) School allowed her the space to fine-tune her design skills, while the city of New Orleans — along with art school in Italy — fed her endless creative inspiration. During this time and after, Blair would work in a variety of design and architecture firms, traveling around the country — Chicago, Jackson Hole, and as always, New Orleans — and learning as much as she could from anyone and everyone around her along the way: colors and materials specialists, architects, corporate branding specialists, commercial real estate developers, interior designers, luxury retailers, and more.

These experiences allowed Blair to develop a deep understanding of the design industry, what her strengths are within it, and ultimately, where in the industry she really wanted to be. Branding is about understanding who your market is and how to communicate with them succinctly — capturing a feeling, an idea, or concept and effortlessly relating that to your audience. After a lifetime spent immersed in design, this comes second nature.

What you really need to understand about Blair, though, is how fiercely she is committed to beauty. Slow, imperfect, and unbridled beauty. To her, a life seeped in beauty — whether that means piecing together a well-collected home that speaks the life you’ve led, or the bodega flowers flowers you treat yourself to, or the way that a self care product is thoughtfully packaged — is a life well-lived. Beauty is forged by history, and that history is as fascinating as it is profound. And in a world where newness and speed, especially when it comes to products, is often prioritized over all, celebrating the richness found in that history is more essential than ever.
